Field of Application

The "Capatect Schraubdübel Easy 051" consists of the dowel shaft Ø 8 mm, with pre-mounted, glass fiber reinforced plastic screw and dowel plate Ø 60 mm. The dowel plate is arranged flush on the insulation surface during installation.

Approved fixing for Capatect facade insulation boards within Capatect facade systems in suitable substrates. For insulation thicknesses from 60 mm in surface-flush installation.

Substrate Preparation

Ensure that the insulation boards are laid flat and that the edges are glued correctly.
The dowel length must be determined depending on the anchoring base, if necessary take any non-load-bearing layers and the system thickness into account.

Installation

The dowels should be installed only after sufficient solidification of the adhesive bed (approx. 1 day). The dowel length must be selected in such a way that the anchorage depth of at least 30 mm ( aerated concrete at least 50 mm) in the solid wall material is given (without taking into account any old render layers or other non-load-bearing intermediate layers). Use a drilling machine (for vertically perforated bricks, sand-lime bricks and aerated concrete without percussion and hammering action) to drill the dowel holes Ø 8 mm, at right angles into the load-bearing structural member. Always drill about 10 mm deeper than the required clamping depth. Before inserting the dowel, remove drill dust from the drill hole to ensure the required anchorage depth.

Surface flush mounting:
Drill a hole through the insulation material into the load-bearing substrate. Drill hole depth for substrates of category A-E min. 40 mm at 30 mm anchorage depth. In substrate category E, drill hole depth min. 60 mm at 50 mm anchorage depth.

Combine dowels and dowel plates depending on the type of insulation material. Insert the screw dowel into the drill hole and screw in the corresponding bit or tool so that it is flush with the surface. The dowel plate must lie flush with the surface after the setting process.
