Consumption

Approx. 3-5 kg/m2 at approx. 12 mm joint width, depending on the depth and compression of material.
The exact rate of consumption is best established by a trial application.

Application Conditions

Application Temperature:
During application and drying the temperature should not fall below + 5 °C or rise over 30 °C for material, substrate, and surrounding air. Do not apply on sun heated substrates, during strong wind, fog, high relative humidity, imminent rain or impending night frost.

Drying/Drying Time

At 20 °C and 65% relative humidity:
Surface-dry after 24 hours and thoroughly hardened after 2- 3 days.
Lower temperatures and a higher relative humidity will lengthen the drying times.

Tool Cleaning

Immediately after use with water.

Application

Allow Meldorfer Ansatzmörtel 080 (adheslve and joint mortar) to cure and dry thoroughly. Curing time: for at least 2 - 3 days in warm weather conditions.
The joint filler is ready to use, but should be stirred up before application and the consistency may be regulated by adding a small amount of tap (potable) water. First take a plot of material onto a trowel and then point the filler with a pointing trowel (size corresponding to the width of joints) into the joints. Smooth under slight pressure.
Superfluous material should be swept off with a hand brush before drying.
Being natural products, the mineral fillers used in the material may occasionally cause slight differences of shade in the dried material. lt is therefore recommended to use only material with identical batch numbers or, if using material from different batches, to blend the entire needed quantity  in advance.
To avoid rain penetration during the drying process, protective tarpaulins should be used if required.

Special Risks (Hazard Note) / Safety Advice (Status as at Date of Publication)

Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects.
