Field of Application
Building paint for silk-matt, coloured finishing coatings on dimensionally stable exterior and interior wooden parts, metal and rigid PVC and for hot water radiators with the exception of white shades.
Because of the typical odour developed by acrylic resin paints, we recommend Capacryl PU-Gloss for covering large areas indoors.

Colours
Standard shade: White
Colours: ColorExpress
Note: A temporary pigment abrasion may occur on the paint surface with intense or dark shades – a transparent sealing coat of Capalac Kunstharz-Klarlack may need to be applied.
Yellowing of the paint surface may occur with light colours and white, due to the effects of lack of light (UV radiation), heat or chemical influences such as ammonia vapours from cleaning agents, adhesives, paints or sealing compounds. This yellowing is typical of the material and does not constitute a product defect.
Colour resistance according to BFS Data Sheet No. 26:
Binder: Class B
Pigmentation: Group 1 to 3, depending on the colour

Suitable Substrates
Primed and undercoated wood, metal and rigid PVC.The substrate must be clean, stable, dry and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. The wood moisture may not exceed 13% with dimensionally stable wooden parts.
Substrate Preparation
Roughening and cleaning the primered surface.Method of Application
Capalac Basic SM can be painted, rolled or sprayed on. Stir well before use.Guidelines for Spray Application:
Ø Nozzle size | Pressure | Dilution | Material warming | |
Aircoat-TempSpray✱ | 0,009–0,011 inch | 180–200 bar | undiluted | 35 °C |
Can be sprayed in delivery consistency with Aircoat if material is warmed (TempSpray).

1) Pretreat damage to old paintwork to suit the substrate in question. 2) Pigment abrasion may occur with intense shades. Transparent sealing is required. 3) No white shades on radiators. Risk of yellowing! |
Note: Adhesion must always be tested in advance for powder coatings, coil coatings and other critical substrates by trials (coating a test area on site). |

The consumption value is a guide value which may vary depending on the nature of the substrate. Precise consumption values can only be determined by coating a test area on site.
Application Conditions
Temperature of Product, Ambient Air and Substrate:Min. 5 °C
Relative humidity must not exceed 80 %.
Drying/Drying Time
At 20°C and 65% relative humidity. | dust dry | dry to handle | recoatable | resprayable |
