Suitable Substrates
Primed dimensionally stable wooden components. Primed metal and rigid PVC. The substrate must be clean, sound, dry and free from separating substances. The wood moisture content must not exceed 13 % for dimensionally stable wooden components.Method of Application
Capacryl CapaFlow can be brushed, rolled or sprayed. Stir well before use.
For manual coating on larger surfaces, apply the paint with a short-pile (textured) polyamide (nylon) roller and finish immediately with a fine-pore foam roller or brush.
Recommended rollers: MPlus TopFilt 2.0 & MPlus radiator roller foam; Storch AquaSTAR micro & UniSTAR softform etc.
Recommended brush types: Pointed brushes: e.g. Mesko M3 Aqua pointed brush size 12/14, M-Plus Aqua (Konex) flat brush, Storch AquaSTAR soft etc.
The tool size should be adapted to the surface size so that the paint can be applied quickly and the surfaces can be finished evenly (see also supplementary information on working with water-thinnable paints "Painting tips for professionals").

1) Always use Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund for woods with water-soluble, discolouring ingredients, coat knots twice. 2) Pre-treat damaged areas in old coatings according to the respective substrate. 3) An additional coating may be required for low-opacity colours (e.g. from the yellow/red range). Note: For powder coatings and coil coatings and other critical substrates, it is essential to create test areas and check adhesion in advance.. |
Consumption
Approx. 100 – 120 ml/m2/Layer.The consumption values are reference values that may vary depending on the substrate and substrate condition. Exact consumption values can only be determined by prior test coatings.
Application Conditions
- Material, circulating air and substrate temperature: at least 8 °C (favourable range: 10 to 25 °C)
- Relative humidity: ≤ 70 %
Drying/Drying Time
At 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity. | Dust-dry | paintable | thoroughly dried |
After hours | 1 – 2 | 10 – 12 | 48 |
Drying times are delayed at lower temperatures, higher humidity and thicker layers.
Tool Cleaning
Clean tools after use with water and wetting agent, e.g. Gescha Multi-Star. We recommend wearing nitrile gloves.
